Jacksonville, Fla. (Sept. 18, 2018) – Foodies can support the Jacksonville Arboretum & Gardens and enjoy featured dishes from Jacksonville’s most popular restaurants paired with spirits, wine and local craft beers during the fifth-annual “Spirits Under the Sun – A Pairing of Food, Drink & Nature” fundraising event from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 at the arboretum, located at 1440 Millcoe Rd.
Restaurants and others in the local food industry taking part in the event include Bold City Brewery, Bono’s Pit Bar-B-Q, Chuy’s Tex Mex, Florida Cracker Kitchen, Pastiche Catering, Publix Aprons, Havana Jax & Cuba Libre, Indochine, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Salt Life Food Shack, Sashimi Fusion, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and Soul Food Bistro – with more restaurants expected to take part.
The festival will feature desserts, coffees, local craft beers – along with liquors, liqueurs and a variety of exceptional wines, signature cocktails and handcrafted beers.
The Arboretum will also ‘pair’ plants with each of the cocktails, wine and beer featured at the event.
Entertainment will be provided by Sidetrack Duo, with items available for purchase during a silent auction.
Tickets are $75 per person can be purchased in advance on the event page at www.jacksonvillearboretum.org. Members of the arboretum receive a 10 percent discount on the ticket price.
Guests must be 21-years or older to attend and are encouraged to wear the appropriate shoes to take advantage of the natural environment found at the Arboretum.
This is the premier fundraising event held each year in support of the Jacksonville Arboretum & Gardens. All proceeds will be used to maintain and fund enhancements at the privately-operated 120-acre venue.

About the Jacksonville Arboretum and Gardens
The Jacksonville Arboretum & Gardens, located at 1440 Millcoe Rd., is open to the public seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. – with extended summer hours to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays – and offers a free, guided nature walk at 9:30 a.m. on the fourth Saturday of each month.
